Infrared Heated Yoga

5 Major Health Benefits from Infrared Heat for Yoga -

Infrared radiant heat is much more beneficial to your health than traditional forced air systems.  It offers a safe, clean, and allergen-free way to experience hot yoga at its   optimum.  Let's discuss the five health benefits for a minute.

First, infrared yoga practice increases flexibility.  Because infrared heat is directly warming the muscles, it opens them up and allows for a greater range of motion.

Second, it increases circulation.  Infrared heat has been shown to increase blood flow by opening up the body's capillaries.  It can help lower blood pressure and oxygenate the organs.

Third, it reduces stress.  As the heat in the room improves circulation, it may also promote relaxation, which leads to a greater sense of well-being that remains with a yogi off the mat.

Fourth, it promotes weight loss (woohoo).  As the body heats up, its natural cooling systems kick in, which take energy and burn calories.  The infrared heat also increases metabolism between the blood and tissues which in turn stimulates calorie loss.

Fifth, it helps with pain relief.  Infrared light is the heat people feel when exposed to the sun.  This infrared light in our studio mimics how the sun reduces inflammation and pain.
